This policy explains how Meraj Travel & Tours S.r.l.s. collects and uses personal data, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003 as amended.

1. Who is responsible for your data

2. What data we collect

Through this website we collect only what you send us in a form: your name, email address, telephone number, preferred language, and the details of your travel enquiry. If you go on to make a booking, we will additionally need passport details, dates of birth and, where a visa requires it, supporting documents. Our server also records technical log data such as IP address and browser type for security purposes.

3. Why we use it and on what legal basis

Enquiry data is used to answer you and prepare a quote — this is our legitimate interest and, where you have ticked the consent box, your consent. Booking data is processed to perform the contract between us and to meet legal obligations, including issuing tickets, submitting visa applications and keeping accounting records as Italian tax law requires.

4. Who we share it with

To arrange your travel we must pass certain details to airlines, hotels, consulates, insurers and reservation systems. Some of these are outside the European Economic Area — for example a consulate or a hotel in Saudi Arabia — and such transfers are necessary to perform the contract you have asked us to carry out. We do not sell your data to anyone, and we do not use it for advertising by third parties.

5. How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are deleted within 24 months. Booking and accounting records are kept for 10 years, as Italian law requires. You can ask us to delete anything we are not legally obliged to retain.

6. Your rights

You may ask us for a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, object to our processing, or withdraw consent at any time. If you are not satisfied, you may lodge a complaint with the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.garanteprivacy.it).

7. Cookies

This website uses only technical cookies necessary for it to function, plus one cookie that remembers your language choice and one that records your cookie preference. 8. Security

Form submissions are protected against automated abuse and cross-site request forgery. Access to enquiry and booking records is limited to our own staff. We ask that you never send passport scans or payment card details through the website contact form — bring them to the office or use a channel we agree with you.
